Tycoon: a free online property trading board game
Tycoon is the street-trading mode inside MSNgame Online. Roll two dice around a ring of 24 tiles, buy streets, build houses up to a landmark, charge rent, and take streets over from your rivals. Up to four players, with computer players to fill the table. No login, no ads.

- Everyone starts with $2,600. Who rolls first is random.
- Roll two dice and walk clockwise around the ring. Doubles give you another roll, but three doubles in a row sends you to Lost Island.
- Land on a free street and you can buy it, and build up to 3 houses straight away, or just buy the land.
- Come back on a later lap to add the hotel, then the landmark. Rent rises with every building.
- Land on a rival's street and you pay rent. Then, if you can afford it, you may take the street over for 1.5 times what has been built on it. Landmarks can never be taken.
- Own every street of one colour and the rent is tripled.

Streets and resorts
Streets come in six colour sets. The four resorts pay more rent the more of them you own.

Collect a $300 salary every time you pass.
Lost Island
Stuck for 3 turns. Roll doubles to escape, or pay for a speedboat: 20% of your cash, at least $300.
Champion Cup
Host the championship in one of your streets: its rent is doubled, and it stacks up to five times.
World Tour
Next turn, fly to any free street or one of your own, for $50.
Tax Office
Pay 10% of what your streets are worth.
Mystery Mail
A random card: gift cards, fees, birthday money from everyone, a free flight, a firewall that blocks the next rent, a storm that knocks a building off a rival's street, or a free championship.
How to win
- Triple Monopoly: own three full colour sets.
- Line Monopoly: own a whole side of the board.
- Resort Monopoly: own all four resorts.
- Last buddy standing: everyone else goes bankrupt.
- If nobody manages it in 20 rounds, the richest player wins.
Tips
- Reach for full sets: tripled rent is the best deal on the board, and taking one street from a rival can break their set.
- Keep a cash cushion. One landmark landing can cost more than your whole bank.
- Build a landmark on a street a rival keeps threatening to take.
- Use the Champion Cup on the street rivals land on most.
- Computer opponents play in four different styles, so no two tables feel the same.
